It's what FUN is!

This year we decided that it would be fun for our family to get season passports to Lagoon. So far, we have been 3 times, and Elli has the best time every time we go! She loves to ride the "big" rides with me, which are the Tidal wave and The Bat. She could spend hours going on the Tidal Wave if Mom's stomach could handle it! Eric even seems to have a good time! We take our lunch with us, so the day is usually pretty cheap to go down there! The very first time we went we decided that we didn't want to haul all of our lunch stuff into the park so we spread a blanket down on the asphalt next to our car and had a picnic in the parking lot! Elli thought this was great fun and begs us every time to do it again!

Gutter Ball!

On Friday night, Elli and I went out with my friend, Elysia and her daughter, Amare to the bowling alley. The girls bowled two games, with Elli having a high score of 146! Apparently this was the high score for the bowling alley for the day (pretty sad that in this rinky dink town a 4 year old can set the daily high score!) and she got a free ice cream. She was so excited! After awhile the girls got tired of using the ramp and decided just to push the balls down the lane. This would be great except that they are both so scrawny that they couldn't push hard enough and the balls kept getting stuck half way down the lane! One of the times that it got stuck, Amare decided to walk down the lane to get her ball, not realizing how slippery the lane is! Of course, she took a fall and we all laughed! They had a great time and in between refereeing the arguments, Elysia and I got some good chat time in! Oh, and one more thing...to all those who say I am anal about what Elli wears, pay close attention to her "princess" garb. Yes, it was hard, but I let her leave the house like that!

I love when the day comes to an end...

This time of the night is my favorite part of every single day. I absolutely love our bedtime routine, as it seems, bedtime is the only part of our day that has any sort of structure each day! First of all we have dinner, then we immediately do baths. Right after bath time we get dressed for bed and fix hair for the next day. We then (try to) clean the front room to prepare for tomorrow, and then it's story time and tooth brushing! Then comes my favorite part...tucking Elli in. She blows me a kiss that she expects me to catch on my cheek (which I always do a little exaggerated) and she just giggles. Then I give her hugs and kisses and turn out the light. I love this part of the night more than any part of the day!!!
