Tonight Elli, Kaleena and I were sitting outside enjoying the evening, when Elli saw what she THOUGHT was an airplane come over the mountain. She said, "Look Mama, there's an airplane!" I told her, "That's not an airplane, it's a flying submarine. She says "For reals?" and then watches the airplane for as long as she can see it. She waves at the airplane, saying "Bye Bye." So I said "Bye Bye airplane!" She then informs me that it's not an airplane, it's a flying submarine. So then Kaleena and I started singing "Yellow Submarine" to her, and she wanted to know who drove the Flying Yellow Submarine. So, I told her the first person who came to mind. Uncle Deward. Again, "For reals?" I say ya. By this time, I am so amused with this story that I can't stop. "Hey Elli, you know who else drives a Flying Submarine? Aunt Kristi. Except, hers is pink."
Kaleena is agreeing with everything I am feeding to my little gullible girl. She then wants to call Aunt Kristi, who proceeds in telling her that she keeps her Flying Pink Submarine parked in her floating underwater garage, and it hasn't rained enough to bring it out yet, or else she would bring it over to our Scentsy party tomorrow night! Elli's response to Aunt Kristi is, "You're wierd!" Kaleena and I were laughing so hard about this that there were a few tears!!!!

Pool Party!
On Saturday, we had over some family for a pool party, yes, I know we are obsessed with the pool! My aunt Marge, her boyfriend Raul, her son Derek and his wife, Nicole, and their two daughters, Makaylee and Brylee came up, and then my mom and dad and sister came over later on. We all swam in the pool for awhile, and then we had all kinds of food! We did dutch oven chicken, potatoes, and ribs, grilled steak, and then we did dutch oven cobblers. It was so fun! Elli and Makaylee played so hard that at the end of the night they were watching a movie and they crashed! It was fun to visit with everyone and just hang out for the afternoon.

Elli the Fish
This last week a friend of ours gave us her swimming pool. It is a pretty big pool, so all three of us hop in and have a good time. I'm pretty sure that Elli would sleep in the pool if I would let her, as it is a huge fight every evening around 8:00 that we have to start the battle of getting her out of the pool to get ready for bed. I keep checking to see if she was born with a set of gills that I missed, but I guess she just has the McFarland gene of being half human, half fish!

Summer time fun...
This last weekend (July 12 &13) we did one of our favorite things ever, we went camping! We just went up to Box Elder Campground, which is nice because it never fails, I forget to bring usually a number of things and I can run home to get them, but it is far enough away from the world to "get away". The site we were in was previously occupied by a scout troop, and they left Elli a little swing that swung over the water. She spent about 3 days solid on this swing. While we were up there, Eric's son and other daughter (Scott and Amanda) came up on their way through to California. I was in 7th heaven getting to spend the evening with my whole family. I was having so much fun with them all that I totally forgot to take pictures! I know, bad mom but I'll do better next time, I promise! We had a cookout with all of Eric's family, and to put it best, nothing with them in uneventful! I was very proud of myself, I did dutch oven chicken and dutch oven potatoes for the first time, and with the help from a friend (Thanks Sharon!!!) they turned out fabulous. We really had a great time (other than Miss Millie, who had to stay on her chain), as we usually do when camping!
